On Thursday, January 10, 2013 STEMconnector® and My College Options® will release a national report of historic significance. The goal of the report, Where are the STEM Students? What are their Career Interests? Where are the STEM Jobs?, is to connect the STEM pipeline by linking the supply of over one million students interested in pursuing STEM careers to the increased demand for over 16 million STEM jobs in 2018.
The report also seeks to motivate students interested in STEM careers by providing a breakdown of “hot” jobs, salary figures, and a projection of the future STEM job market. The report delivers an in-depth profile of over one million students interested in STEM majors and careers with breakouts for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and an equally compelling state-by-state breakdown.
STEMconnector® and My College Options® will host a Town Hall discussion on the report and officially release the publication on January 30, 2013 at the American Association for University Women (AAUW) beginning at 12:00pm EST. The digital and printed versions of the report will be available online at the STEMconnector® website on January 10th.
