e-skills uk - GO ON you can do IT

Posted on 08:23 by Unknown
New free website from e-skills UK - GO ON you can do IT - accessible at www.go-onyoucandoit.co.uk

The new free website to help individuals improve their digital skills

e-skills UK has launched GO ON you can do IT - a free website that provides a friendly and supportive means for any individual to determine their current level of digital skills, and then gives immediate learning to help improve them.

To access the new free website, please visit
GO ON you can do IT.

Four topics are available initially - using the internet, email, document creation, and safety and security online - as these are the skills considered essential by most employers, and the skills that job seekers need to search and apply for vacancies online.

We're planning to add more topics to cater for a wider range of users in future. For example, office-based skills for individuals in work, or leisure-based skills to help more people use internet banking, online shopping or local digital services. There is also the opportunity to add in bespoke topics for staff in particular organisations, for example, hospitals. We're keen to hear from organisations who might like to sponsor a topic that would be attractive to their own customers and beneficial to the public at large.

If you'd like to know more about GO ON you can do IT, feature a link on your website, or think you can help with its future development, please contact martin.harvey@e-skills.com.

The development of GO ON you can do IT has received co-investment from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills through the Employer Investment Fund.
